Where to change it
When you are signed in, open the Colour Scheme control in the top bar (next to Contact on larger screens). The icon shows what is active:
- Moon – Dark is selected
- Sun – Light is selected
- Computer – System is selected (follows your device or browser setting)
Select the control, then choose Dark, Light, or System.
When you are on the sign-in page, the same control appears next to Sign In so you can set appearance before you log in.
What each option does
- Dark – UpSheets always uses dark backgrounds and light text.
- Light – UpSheets always uses light backgrounds and dark text.
- System – UpSheets matches your operating system or browser light/dark preference. If you change that preference later, the app updates to match.
If you are not sure which mode you prefer, use System so UpSheets stays in step with the rest of your desktop or phone.
Saving your choice
Your choice is stored in this browser only (not on your UpSheets account). If you use another computer, a private window, or clear site data, you may need to set it again.
General preferences such as date format and file options are under Settings in the menu. The Colour Scheme control is separate and always available from the header when you use the app.
