Overwrite Approved Timesheets

By default, an error appears if you try to upload a timesheet when an approved timesheet already exists in Xero for that employee and pay period. Select Settings from the menu and enable Overwrite approved timesheets to allow an upload to replace an approved timesheet. After you change the setting, Revalidate the file so validation shows an information message instead of an error. When upload runs with the setting enabled, UpSheets reverts the approved timesheet in Xero to Draft, then saves your file’s timesheet lines. The Draft or Approved import status you chose for the file is what Xero receives for the replacement timesheet. Processed and Completed timesheets in Xero still cannot be overwritten. Validation continues to block those lines until the timesheet is changed in Xero. A warning message is shown instead of an error when overwrite is allowed, and you can upload the timesheet.
