Employee tax declaration is incomplete in Xero
Xero rejected the payslip because the employee’s tax declaration is incomplete. Open the employee in Xero Payroll and review their Tax declaration. Check that:- A Tax scale type has been selected.
- A Tax file number exemption type has been selected if the employee has not provided a tax file number.
- An approved withholding variation percentage has been entered if one applies to the employee.
After completing the tax declaration
- Save the employee’s tax declaration in Xero.
- Return to UpSheets and revalidate the file.
- Upload again once validation succeeds.
