Payslip has a zero amount for Super

This error appears when a Xero payslip is missing the required Superannuation Guarantee Contribution line and the employee is aged 18 years or over. If this happens, all lines for the payslip will be rejected by Xero and the payslip cannot be loaded.

How to resolve it

Option 1: Add the line to the payslip

Add the required Superannuation Guarantee Contribution line to the employee payslip, then revalidate and upload the file. This only fixes the issue for that payslip and not any future uploads. Add the required Superannuation Guarantee Contribution line to the employee Pay Template in Xero. After doing so, the payslip will need to be refreshed in Xero (or the pay run deleted and added again). This is the preferred option because it defaults the line onto the payslip each time one is created in future.
