Assumptions and Limitations
Assumptions
- Day workers (clause 22.2(a)): ordinary hours Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm (BASE).
- Saturday and Sunday have no day-worker ordinary window, so weekend work is overtime at clause 25.1(a)(i)(B) 200% for full-time and part-time employees (casual 250% of the unloaded hourly rate, which is 2.0 against the loaded casual base).
- Monday to Friday work outside the span is overtime at 150% first 2 hours then 200% (casual 187.5%/250% of the unloaded hourly rate → 1.5/2.0 against the loaded base).
- Full-time daily overtime after 8 hours is scoped MON-FRI.
- Part-time and casual daily overtime after 10 hours is scoped MON-FRI because Saturday and Sunday are already all-day overtime.
- Weekly overtime after 38 hours is scoped MON-FRI at 150%/200%.
- Public holidays are 250% for full-time and part-time employees and 275% of the ordinary hourly rate for casuals (clause 29.2(c) → 2.2 against the loaded base); casual public holiday overtime after 10 hours or 38 hours is 312.5% of the unloaded hourly rate → 2.5.
- Full-time minimum engagement is 4 hours on Monday to Friday ordinary engagements (clause 22.7(a)).
- Part-time and casual minimum engagement is 2 hours (clause 22.7(b)), day-scoped at the applicable day multiple.
- Shiftworkers (clause 22.2(b)): ordinary hours may be worked across the week (BASE all-day EVERY).
- Clause 26.1 shift allowances use START_ONLY Monday to Friday with inclusive end times one minute before the next commence time (award “before”): afternoon 10:00 - 12:59 at 110% (casual 1.08), afternoon 13:00 - 15:59 at 112.5% (casual 1.1), night 16:00 - 23:59 and 00:00 - 03:59 at 115% (casual 1.12), and night 04:00 - 05:59 at 110% (casual 1.08).
- Shift allowances substitute on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays (clause 23.1 / 29.2).
- Saturday ordinary hours are 150% (casual 175% of the ordinary hourly rate in substitution for casual loading → 1.4).
- Sunday ordinary hours are 175% (casual 200% → 1.6).
- Full-time daily overtime uses a 10-hour ordinary night-shift cap (clause 22.1(c)); part-time and casual daily overtime uses the clause 25.1(b)(ii)/25.1(c)(ii) 10-hour cap.
- Saturday and Sunday overtime is 200% (casual 250% → 2.0).
- Weekly overtime after 38 hours uses Monday to Friday 150%/200% and Saturday/Sunday 200%.
- CASUAL overtime percentages in clause 25.1(c) already include casual loading, so casual overtime multiples against the loaded base equal the full-time overtime multiples (1.5 / 2.0 / 2.5).
- Shared: clause 25.1(d) 10-hour rest after overtime is a single GAP at 200% for full-time and part-time employees only.
- Casual base rates include clause 10.4(b) 25% loading.
- Part-time employees who work fewer than 38 hours only receive shift allowances where the shift starts before 6:00 am or finishes after 6:00 pm (clause 26.1); START_ONLY windows do not enforce that finish gate.
