How to Use This Rule Set in UpSheets

- Assign the correct classification and employment type to each employee using this variant.
- Simulate representative shifts, then publish and assign the rule set to affected employees.
Assumptions and Limitations
Assumptions
- Day workers use clause 13.3 ordinary spread of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday and 7:00 am to 12:30 pm Saturday, with a 10-hour daily ordinary cap under clause 13.7.
- Saturday ordinary hours attract clause 24.2 at 125% of the minimum hourly rate.
- Monday to Saturday overtime uses clause 21.4 first 2 hours then after 2 hours, including pre/post-spread windows on ordinary days.
- Day workers use clause 24.3(c) / 21.4(c) four-hour Sunday minimum payments and clause 24.4(d) four-hour public holiday minimum payments.
- Shiftworkers use clause 31.1 afternoon/night and Saturday/Sunday/public holiday penalties, with clause 28.1 daily overtime tiers.
- Permanent night shiftworkers apply clause 31.1 permanent night rates.
- CASUAL base rates already include the 25% loading.
- Because MULTIPLE lines apply against that loaded casual base, casual multiples are the award percentage of the minimum hourly rate divided by 1.25 (for example casual Saturday 150%/125%=1.2, OT first 2 hours 175%/125%=1.4, OT after / Sunday 225%/125%=1.8, PH 275%/125%=2.2).
- Full-time and part-time multiples remain the award percentages of the unloaded minimum hourly rate.
Not Supported by This Rule Set
- Automatic detection of permanent night eligibility
- Delayed meal break penalties
- Junior employee classifications and junior penalty tables
- One-hour movement of ordinary spread by agreement
- Ordinary hours directed under a different award majority spread including Sunday ordinary
- Return to duty minimum payment
- Saturday overtime 3-hour minimum after 38 hours Monday to Friday
- Shiftwork overtime at 200% on Saturday Sunday or public holiday that is not an ordinary working day
- Shiftwork overtime in excess of ordinary weekly hours
- Supported wage and trainee classifications
- Time off instead of payment for overtime
