Assumptions and Limitations

Assumptions

  • Day workers use clause 12.2 Monday to Friday ordinary hours inside 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with an 8-hour daily ordinary cap.
  • Default modelling treats Saturday and Sunday as outside ordinary hours (weekend ordinary under clause 12.2(c)/(f) is excluded), so Saturday uses clause 23.4 whole-day overtime tiers (150% first 3 hours, 200% after) with a 4-hour minimum payment, Sunday uses clause 23.5 at 200% with a 3-hour minimum, and public holidays use 250% with a 3-hour minimum under clauses 12.2(g) and 23.6(a).
  • Monday to Friday outside-spread and daily overtime use clause 23.2 first-3 / after-3 tiers.
  • Non-continuous shiftworkers use clause 24.3 early-morning 112.5% (START_ONLY 03:00-05:59), afternoon/night 115%, plus night-start START_ONLY to 02:59 so inclusive start-window matching does not collide with early morning, plus clause 23.2 overtime tiers and clause 24.4/24.5 weekend and public holiday substitution rates.
  • Continuous shiftworkers use flat 200% overtime under clause 23.3 and 200% Sunday/public holiday substitution under clause 24.5(a).
  • Permanent night shiftworkers apply clause 24.3(d) at 130% with START_ONLY before END_ONLY night windows.
  • Clause 10.4 applies casual penalty, overtime, and shift loadings to the casual ordinary hourly rate, and MAPD casual tables match those percentages of the loaded base, so casual MULTIPLE lines reuse the same multiples as full-time/part-time (not award%/1.25).
  • Casual minimum engagement under clause 10.5 defaults to 4 consecutive hours.

Not Supported by This Rule Set

  • Agreement to reduce 10 hour break to 8 hours, and shiftworker 8 hour substitutions
  • Apprentice, trainee, junior, and supported wage classifications
  • Automatic roster continuity and shift-type detection
  • Baking production early-morning start variation
  • Call-back and standing-by minimums
  • Make up time
  • Non-continuous afternoon or night shift not continuing rates
  • Rest break during overtime meal arrangements beyond GAP
  • Spread of hours moved by agreement
  • Time off instead of payment for overtime
  • Weekend ordinary hours by agreement for day workers
  • Work on shifts other than rostered shifts
