Assumptions and Limitations
Assumptions
- Clause 13.2 ordinary hours: Monday-Friday 6:00 am-6:00 pm and Saturday 6:00 am-12:00 noon, max 10 ordinary hours per day (clause 13.3).
- Model a single Mon-Sat BASE (engine allows one BASE template); outside-spread overtime under clause 19.1/19.2 overrides with first-2 / after-2 tiers: Mon-Fri before 6:00 am and after 6:00 pm; Saturday before 6:00 am and after 12:00 noon.
- Sunday has no ordinary window, so whole-day Sunday OT uses first-2 / after-2 at 150%/200% (casual 175%/225% of the unloaded minimum → 1.4/1.8 against the loaded casual base).
- Daily overtime after 10 hours is scoped MON-SAT (days with ordinary hours).
- Weekly overtime after 38 hours is scoped MON-SAT; Sunday hours are already overtime via the Sunday OT rules.
- Public holidays are 250% of the ordinary hourly rate with a 4-hour minimum payment (clause 25.2); casual PH is MAPD 275% of the minimum (275%/125%=2.2).
- Clause 19.2 casual OT is 175% first 2 hours and 225% after of the ordinary hourly rate (loading already built into those percentages), so loaded-base multiples are 1.4 and 1.8.
- FULL_TIME/PART_TIME multiples remain award percentages of the unloaded minimum (150%/200%/250%).
- Minimum engagement: casual 3 hours (clause 11.1) day-scoped at the applicable day multiple (M-F/Sat ordinary 1.0; Sunday tiered 1.4 then 1.8 for the 3-hour top-up; PH 4 hours at 2.2).
- Public holiday 4-hour minimum payment applies to all employment types at 250%/2.2.
- Clause 19.6 call-back 4-hour minimum is excluded (requires call-back detection).
- Deputy GLSA article (No Water Restrictions sectors) aligns on Mon-Fri 6am-6pm / Sat 6am-noon ordinary, outside-spread first-2/after-2 bands, Sunday first-2/after-2 OT, weekly OT after 38 on Mon-Sat, 10-hour GAP for non-casuals, casual 3-hour ME, and PH 4-hour ME at 250%.
