Assumptions and Limitations

Assumptions

  • Clause 29.2 Monday to Friday evening additives (7:00 pm to midnight 2.95andmidnightto7:00am2.95 and midnight to 7:00 am 4.42 per hour or part thereof) auto-apply as TOP_UP allowances on ordinary hours in those windows, rounded up to the next whole hour.
  • They do not apply to Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, or overtime hours.
  • Saturday and Sunday are ordinary days at Table 14 penalties (Saturday 125% full-time/part-time and 150% casual; Sunday 150% full-time/part-time and 175% casual).
  • Public holidays are 225% full-time/part-time and 250% casual.
  • Daily overtime uses the clause 15.1 / 15.2 11.5-hour ordinary cap for full-time/part-time and the clause 11.2 12-hour cap for casuals.
  • Weekly overtime after 38 hours uses Monday to Friday first-2 / after-2 tiers (150%/200%) and a flat 200% Saturday/Sunday band from 38 hours, matching Table 13 day scopes.
  • Public holiday hours over the daily or weekly cap stay at Table 14 public holiday percentages (225%/250%) because Table 13 has no public holiday overtime row and clause 29.3 pays the highest applicable rate.
  • CASUAL base rates already include the 25% loading; casual MULTIPLE lines use award%/1.25 against that loaded base (Saturday 1.2, Sunday 1.4, PH 2.0, OT first 2 hours 1.2, OT after / weekend OT 1.6).
  • Junior casual bases are the loaded adult casual rate multiplied by the Table 5 age percentage.
  • Split shift allowances are scoped to full-time and part-time per clause 26.14(a).
  • Clause 13.5 liquor-service juniors must be paid as adult; assign the Adult variant.
