Assumptions and Limitations

Assumptions

  • CASUAL base rates already include the award 25% loading.
  • Clause 11.1(d) and 32.1(f) apply penalty, overtime, and shift loadings to the casual ordinary hourly rate, so casual MULTIPLE lines reuse the same multiples as full-time/part-time (not award%/1.25).
  • Day workers use clause 17.2 Monday to Friday ordinary hours inside 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with an 8-hour daily ordinary cap.
  • Default modelling treats Saturday and Sunday as outside ordinary hours (weekend ordinary under clause 17.2(c)/(g) is excluded), so Saturday uses clause 32.5 whole-day overtime tiers (150% first 3 hours, 200% after) with a 4-hour minimum payment, Sunday uses clause 32.6 at 200% with a 3-hour minimum, and public holidays use 250% with a 3-hour minimum under clauses 17.2(h), 32.7(a) and 33.1(b).
  • Monday to Friday outside-spread and daily overtime use clause 32.2 first-3 / after-3 tiers.
  • Weekly overtime after 38 hours uses the same first-3 / after-3 tiers on EVERY so Sunday hours count.
  • Non-continuous shiftworkers use clause 33.2 afternoon END_ONLY finish after 6:00 pm at or before midnight at 115%, night END_ONLY finish after midnight at or before 8:00 am at 115%, Saturday ordinary 150%, Sunday 200%, public holiday 250%, plus clause 32.2 overtime tiers.
  • Continuous shiftworkers use the same afternoon/night detection with Saturday 150%, Sunday/public holiday 200% under clause 33.2(j)(i), and flat 200% overtime under clause 32.4(a).
  • Permanent night shiftworkers apply clause 33.2(f) at 130% on night END_ONLY windows and otherwise follow the non-continuous overtime and weekend/PH structure.
  • Clause 32.12 less than 10 consecutive hours between duties is a single GAP rule at flat 200%.
  • Casual minimum engagement under clause 11.2 is 4 hours Monday to Friday at ordinary; weekend/PH minima are satisfied by the higher Sat/Sun/PH ME lines.
  • Part-time minimum engagement under clause 10.2 is 4 consecutive hours Monday to Friday at ordinary.
  • Choosing Day Worker versus shift variants remains a manual assignment; afternoon versus night within a shift variant is detected via END_ONLY finish windows.
  • Float glass furnace repair, Supervisor/Trainer/Coordinator Technical, and underground mine work are percentage-of-rate allowances stored as 0 for manual application.
