Assumptions and Limitations
Assumptions
- Clause 24.4 Monday to Friday evening additives (7:00 pm to midnight 4.42 per hour, pro-rata for a part hour) auto-apply as TOP_UP on ordinary Monday to Friday hours and do not stack on Saturday, Sunday, public holiday, or overtime hours (clause 24.5).
- Daily overtime uses the clause 15.3(a)/(b) 8-hour ordinary daily cap for full-time and part-time and the clause 11.4 12-hour cap for casuals.
- Clause 22.3 overtime is day-scoped: Monday to Friday 150% then 200%, Saturday 175% then 200%, Sunday 200%, public holiday 250%.
- Weekly overtime after 38 hours uses the same day-scoped 22.3 tiers.
- CASUAL base rates already include the 25% loading; casual MULTIPLE lines use award%/1.25 against that loaded base, and casual overtime uses clause 22.3 percentages of the unloaded minimum (11.4).
- Clause 22.5 10-hour rest after overtime is a single GAP at a flat first-2-hours overtime multiple (150% / casual 1.2) rather than split first-2/after-2 GAP windows or day-specific overtime rates.
- Maintenance and horticultural employees use clause 15.6 ordinary hours 6:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Friday and 6:00 am to 12:00 noon Saturday (maximum 8 ordinary hours Monday to Friday and 4 on Saturday).
- Saturday after noon and Sunday are paid at the higher of clause 24.2 and clause 22.3, so Saturday outside-span uses 175% and Sunday uses 200%.
- Outside-span Monday to Friday and Saturday time bands use a flat first-tier overtime multiple so the 2-hour overtime tier is not reset in multiple windows; daily overtime after 8 hours (Monday to Friday) or 4 hours (Saturday) supplies the after-2-hours 200% band on longer mixed shifts.
- Afternoon-only Saturday shifts longer than 2 hours may stay on the flat 175% band until daily overtime after 4 hours applies.
- Clause 19.2(b) first aid is all-purpose when appointed; it is published as a MANUAL allowance rather than baked into every base rate.
