How to Use This Rule Set in UpSheets

- Simulate representative shifts, then publish and assign the rule set to affected employees.
Assumptions and Limitations
Assumptions
- Default day-worker ordinary hours are Monday to Friday between 5:30 am and 6:30 pm with an 8-hour daily cap and 38 ordinary hours per week (clauses 13.1, 13.4, 13.5, 13.6(a)).
- Oil day workers use 6:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday and 35 ordinary hours per week (clauses 14.2 to 14.4).
- Saturday is outside default ordinary hours, so Saturday uses clause 21.1 overtime tiers (150% first 2 hours then 200%) standing alone for the day rather than spread bands.
- Sunday uses clause 23.1(b) and 23.1(d) 200% standing alone.
- Public holiday default rates are the clause 23.2 any other public holiday figures (ordinary-range 150% inside the weekday spread, 250% outside ordinary hours); Good Friday and Christmas Day 200%/300% are not auto-detected.
- Casual overtime follows clause 11.4 (overtime percentages of the unloaded minimum plus 10% of that minimum, with no 25% casual loading on overtime), which MAPD publishes as 160%/210%; against the loaded casual base those multiples are 1.28 and 1.68.
- Casual Sunday 225% and public holiday 275% of the unloaded minimum are modelled as 1.8 and 2.2 on the loaded casual base.
- Casual public holiday hours use the all-day 275% rate from clause 23.2(e) rather than an inside/outside-spread split.
- Casual ordinary penalties that already include loading in MAPD (afternoon 142.5%, night 155%, non-continuous 175%/225%, Saturday 175%) use those percentages divided by 1.25.
- Afternoon shift is 117.5% and night shift is 130% Monday to Friday (clause 22.3).
- Non-continuous afternoon or night (fewer than 5 consecutive shifts) is a separate variant at 150% first 3 hours and 200% after under clause 22.10; that weekday 150%/200% band replaces a separate 8-hour daily overtime line on the variant because after 3 hours the clause 22.10 rate is already 200%.
- Oil shiftworkers share the Shiftworker, Night Shiftworker, and Non-Continuous Shiftworker variants (clause 22.2 38-hour week) with oil hourly rates on the same schedule.
- Weekly overtime uses 38 hours for transport/facility and oil shiftwork (clauses 13.1 and 22.2) and 35 hours for oil day workers (clause 14.2).
- Minimum payments are 4 hours for part-time each day (clause 10.7), casual each engagement (clause 11.3), and Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday work (clauses 23.1(c) and 23.2).
- Saturday minimum engagement is tiered 150%/200% to match Saturday overtime.
- Clause 21.4 less than 10 consecutive hours between duties is a single GAP rule at 200% for full-time and part-time employees.
- All 35 operative MAPD allowances are modelled as MANUAL rate keys.
