How to Use This Rule Set in UpSheets

  3. Simulate representative shifts, then publish and assign the rule set to affected employees.

Assumptions and Limitations

Assumptions

  • Variants split only where overtime first-hour tiers, minimum-payment hours, or shiftwork definitions differ.
  • Dayworker Home Care (abbrev DHC) also carries family day care classifications and SACS classifications so SACS employees undertaking disability services work keep the clause 28.1(a)(i) first-2-hour overtime tier and the clause 10.5(b) 2-hour minimum payment without a pay-rate-only extra variant.
  • SACS-only community work uses Dayworker SACS or Shiftworker SACS.
  • Crisis accommodation cannot share the SACS variant because clause 10.5(b) keeps a 2-hour minimum payment.
  • Ordinary hours for day workers are 6:00 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Sunday.
  • Monday to Friday inside the span is BASE.
  • Saturday ordinary hours inside the span are 150% full-time/part-time and 175% casual (clause 26.1 / 26.4, inclusive of casual loading).
  • Sunday ordinary hours inside the span are 200% full-time/part-time and 225% casual.
  • Public holidays are 250% full-time/part-time and 275% casual (clause 34.2).
  • Work outside the span is overtime.
  • Full-time disability, home care, and day care overtime Monday to Saturday is 150% first 2 hours then 200%.
  • Full-time SACS and crisis overtime Monday to Saturday is 150% first 3 hours then 200% (clause 28.1(a)).
  • Part-time and casual outside-span, daily, and weekly overtime stay first 2 hours then 200% (clause 28.1(b)).
  • The first-hour outside-span overtime tier is applied per continuous early or late window because timesheet processing cannot share that tier across disconnected morning and evening bands on the same day.
  • Full-time daily overtime uses the clause 25.1(a) 8-hour ordinary shift.
  • Part-time and casual daily overtime uses the clause 28.1(b)(ii) 10-hour cap.
  • Weekly overtime is after 38 hours.
  • Shiftworker variants replace the 6:00 am to 8:00 pm span with Monday to Friday ordinary hours plus clause 29.2 afternoon (finishes after 8:00 pm and at or before midnight) and night (finishes after midnight or commences before 6:00 am) loadings of 12.5% and 15%.
  • Weekend and public holiday rates substitute for shift premiums (clause 26.2).
  • Casual afternoon and night multiples are 137.5% and 140% of the unloaded minimum divided by 1.25 (1.1 and 1.12) so the clause 10.4 25% loading sits on top of the clause 29.3 loadings rather than compounding on the loaded base.
  • CASUAL weekend, public holiday, and overtime multiples use the award inclusive percentages of the unloaded minimum divided by 1.25 (175%->1.4, 225%->1.8, 275%->2.2).
  • SACS L1 hourlies are weekly/38 from clause 15.1.
  • SACS L2 to L8 and crisis hourlies are the clause 15 equal remuneration order (ERO) current hourly wages - a separate operative instrument from MAPD non-ERO calculated rates for the same classifications.
  • Family day care hourlies are weekly/38 from clause 16.
  • Disability L2 PP2 (D2B) hourly 29.06, family day care L2 PP2 (F2B) hourly 32.38, and aged-care L1 to L6 hourlies are weekly/38 from clause 16/17 where MAPD omitted a calculated hourly.
