When to use this
Use a day break rule when the break depends on total hours worked across the day, including multiple shifts. For example, deduct a 45-minute break when total day hours are greater than 6 and less than 12.Before You Start
Open or create the Smart Formula from Smart Formulas > Configure. Break removal rules do not create pay items or payslip lines. They only deduct time from generated Smart Formula lines.Example Setup
The day total must be greater than the minimum and less than the maximum. A
6-12 range applies to day totals over 6 hours and under 12 hours.
Worked Example
Day breaks are deducted from the highest line number first, then the highest sub-line within that line.
