When to use this
Use this option when a short-gap rate should only apply if the previous shift included overtime. This is the UpSheets editor setup for the legacyGAPOT behaviour. The rule applies only when both conditions are true:
- The current shift starts before the required gap has passed.
- The previous shift included overtime earnings.
Before You Start
Open or create the Smart Formula from Smart Formulas > Configure. The formula must also include overtime rules so UpSheets can tell whether the previous shift included overtime.Example Setup
You can also define a standard minimum shift gap rule without the overtime checkbox. When both exist, UpSheets will use the overtime-specific gap rule when the previous shift included overtime and otherwise fall back to the standard gap rule.
Worked Example
Test the Example

- Add a previous shift that creates overtime and a following shift with a short gap.
- Add another short-gap pair where the previous shift does not create overtime.
