Day Allowance Example

When to use this

Use a day allowance when an allowance should be added once per day, even if the employee works multiple shifts on that day. For example, add a daily allowance when total weekday hours are greater than 8.

Before You Start

Open or create the Smart Formula from Smart Formulas > Configure. Confirm whether the allowance should apply automatically during assignment. See Assign Smart Formulas to Employees.

Test the Example

Before publishing:

1. Open Smart Formulas > Simulate.
2. Add a day with one long shift and a day with multiple shifts.
3. Click Run Simulation.
4. Confirm the allowance appears once per matching day.
