Shift Allowance Example

When to use this

Use a shift allowance when an allowance should be added once for every matching imported shift. This can apply more than once in a day if the employee has multiple matching shifts.

Before You Start

Open or create the Smart Formula from Smart Formulas > Configure. Confirm whether the allowance should apply automatically during assignment. See Assign Smart Formulas to Employees.

Worked Example

The Monday employee receives two allowance units because two matching shifts were imported.

Test the Example

Before publishing:

1. Open Smart Formulas > Simulate.
2. Add one day with multiple shifts.
3. Add a shift below the minimum hour threshold.
4. Click Run Simulation.
5. Confirm the allowance is added once per matching shift.
